Gary Stephen Woodall's Obituary
Gary Stephen Woodall went home to his Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 2:00 pm at Glenwood Cemetery, and the family will receive friends and loved ones at the home of Courtney Armstrong from 4-6:00 pm following the service.
Gary was born on February 7, 1948, in Weslaco, Texas, to Clyde William Woodall and Ada Lee Weatherford, and called Taft, Texas his home for most of his early years. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and Reserves from 1967 to 1973, including active duty during the Vietnam War. He married his love, Glennis Anne Isenhower, on December 13, 1969. Glennis preceded Gary in death in 2013.
He is survived by their four children and their spouses: Chris and Monica Woodall, Courtney and Joel Armstrong, Clarke and Tara Woodall, and Colby Woodall; grandchildren Moriah, Madalyn, Zoie, Reagan, Mallory, Preston, Rebekah, Ezra, and Layla; and sister Sandy Northcutt.
Gary’s family most cherishes memories of him as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who encouraged his children and everyone he knew to love their families well. He devoted many years serving in ministry alongside Glennis at Hannah House Maternity Home, where he demonstrated God’s unconditional love to young women in crisis pregnancies.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Promiseland Ministries/Hannah House Maternity Home at 501 Pine Tree Road, Suite G-2, Longview, TX 75604.
