Gary Quentin Walker's Obituary
On August 28, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul as Gary Quentin Walker bid farewell to this earth at the age of 66. He was born on September 13, 1957, in Dallas, TX, to parents William R. and LaVerne Walker.
Gary pursued his love for the outdoors, eventually becoming a revered Fishing Guide. His legacy lives on through the many fishing enthusiasts he has guided and inspired over the years.
A natural-born giver, Gary dedicated his life to helping others, whether they be friends or strangers in need. His compassion and selflessness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Gary never asked for recognition, but rather enjoyed helping people behind the scenes.
Gary leaves behind his devoted spouse Rita, sister Pam Walker, along with a host of cousins and friends who will cherish his memory forever. He is preceded in death by his parents, William R. and LaVerne Walker, and brother Robbie Walker.
To honor Gary, a Celebration of his life will take place at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on September 3, 2024, at 1:30 pm. Prior to this, a Visitation will take place at the same location on September 2, 2024, from 6:00 ~ 8:00 pm.
While we grieve the loss of Gary Walker, we also celebrate the joy and memories he brought into our lives. His spirit will forever dance among the ripples of the waters he so dearly loved. In his honor, let us find solace in the beauty of nature and the warmth of cherished memories.
