Gary Wayne Richard's Obituary
Gary aged 78, passed away on November 19, 2025. Born on November 25, 1946, in Gladewater Texas. Gary was a lifelong athlete and coach who inspired countless young people to achieve their best on and off the the field. He mentored young baseball players Little League in Enid, Oklahoma for years. He graduated from Enid High School, Enid, Oklahoma in 1966 and went on to Phillips University in Enid. Playing softball was a hobby as well as golf. His career was with Blue Cross and Blue Shield as Customer Service Supervisor. He retired a few years ago. After retirement he worked for Best Western Motel in Longview, Texas where he enjoyed many friendships for ten years. He is survived by siblings,Wanda Walls of Longview, Texas,Janie and Tom Jantz of Montgomery, Texas, Larry and Jeannie Richard of Gladewater, Texas ,Bettye and Steve Gary of Longview .
He is preceded in death by Mother and Father Gerald and Vivian Richard, and Barbara Jean Richard, sister.
A family gathering to Celebrate Gary's life will be held at a later date.
