"Above the Best" Gary will be missed.
There is a great band of brothers gathering in a land of peace and harmony.To have served as a member of that brotherhood will be the greatest honor I will ever experience on earth. My heart broke when I heard of Gary's passing. I lay in bed that night recalling the crash into the river Gary and I experienced together. I always enjoyed seeing Gary at the reunions and going out to eat with him and Geneen. Gary was a kind hearted person and a joy to be around. He will be greatly missed along with Joe Cappan, Richard Harris, Johnny Holman, all whom we have lost this past year. May God bless each family.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this time of sorrow. I have many fond memories of Gary growing up. He never complained (at least where I could hear) when he had to entertain his little cousin. He taught me touch football, how to climb under an electric fence without getting shocked and that I could get wet at the old swimming hole even though my Grandpa Burton would say " don't get wet" as we were headed down the drive. The world has lost a wonderful person.
