Gary "G.W." Adams age 59 had a valiant fight with cancer and won then later passed away February 8, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center, Dallas. His body was just too tired from his fight beating cancer. He was born May 15, 1952 in Coop Read Obituary
I had the opportunity to meet Gary @ Bodacious.i noticed he had something that was different, way different the true love of Jesus written all over him. I wanted to hear about Jesus, in which he lived & he wanted to know if I had caught any slabs, listening very closely to all the details.
Gary was one of my mentors & when my day comes to meet my maker he will be one of the first I would like to catch up on the fishing with.

Sweet Sweet Uncle Gary. That's how i will always remember him. Took me in just like one of his own daughters and cared and watched over me the same. Took me on trips and showed me a life i never knew! I never will forget our deep sea fishing adventure with Will in Florida. Always let me go catering too at the State Fair so i could see Oklahoma play. It's just endless all the wonderful memories i have of this beautiful, caring man. he always had time to listen to my dad tell a fishing story with a smile and even had one of his bass mounted and hanging in the restaurant. He loved his family and everyone that crossed his path pretty much he was kind to. I will take what he taught me about fishing, cooking and being kind and use it for the rest of my life. he always gave me a 2nd chance as a kid even when i didn't deserve one. I love you Uncle Gary. Gary was my beloved classmate from day one thru graduation. I never knew him to have a bad word to say about a single person. I never saw him when he didn't have that beautiful heart-warming smile that would flash in an instant. I'm so sorry to hear he's no longer with us but it gives me great comfort to know he'll be in our crowd of greeters when we cross over into heaven. May God comfort you & your family until that time.

Please know that you are in our prayers for comfort and strength during this time. You were great 'next door' neighbors to "Miss Ruby" for so many years on Lake Cherokee. She, and we, always enjoyed our visits to Adams Rib and you were all so good to her. She was so appreciative when Gary would send a Bar BQ meal to her while she was in The Willows.
