Frederick "Fred" Eugene Graham's Obituary
Mr. Frederick Eugene Graham, of Henderson, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 31, 2016. Frederick, known by friends and family as Fred, was born on December 27, 1928 to Raymond Collie and Bernice Ellen McKenzie Graham in Tennessee Colony, Texas. He was married to Joanna Hightower Graham June 2, 1956.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Horace Ray Graham, Sammy Jack Graham and grandson Robert Collie Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna, daughter Terri Allen and husband Bobby, and granddaughter Anna Hardman of Henderson; son Malcolm Graham and wife Jo Ellen of Tyler, grandson Hunter Graham and wife Hannah of Henderson, grandson Macabe Graham of Tyler; son Steven Graham of Henderson; brother, Billy Stanley Graham of Tennessee Colony, as well as several nephews.
Fred was a Sergeant in the United States Army with active service in the Korean War, with the 5th Armored Division, receiving a Korean Service Metal and Bronze Service Star. Fred retired after 33 years from LeTourneau in Longview, Texas and enjoyed his retirement years with his family in the Crims Chapel community of Rusk County. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always willing to help and serve other people, while always responding, “I’m fine”, when asked if he needed anything himself; right up to the minute he went home with our Lord.
Honorary pallbearers: Hunter Graham, Macabe Graham, Rance Graham, Billy Marshall Graham, Bo Graham, Jimmy Graham and Steven Webb. Receiving him in heaven are Robert Collie Allen and Bobby Ray Graham.
Visitation will be held Friday June 3 from 5 to 7p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas. Interment will follow in the Tennessee Colony Cemetery on Saturday June 4th at 10a.m. with Pastor Bud Howard officiating.
