Frederick Eugene Bostick
Funeral services for Frederick Eugene Bostick, 93, of Lake Cherokee will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Tony Harp officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. He passed away Friday, April 1, in Longview.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bostick was born September 18, 1917 in Marshall to William E. and Lena Bostick and was a lifetime resident of the Longview and Marshall area. He was co-owner of Boswork Distributors. He loved antiques and was the owner of an antique mall in Gladewater. Mr. Bostick enjoyed traveling with the "Good Sam Club" and enjoyed spending time at his home in Colorado. He served on the Elderville water board for many years and was a 65 year member of the Longview Masonic Lodge. He was a WWII veteran of the U. S. Navy and served in Guam. He was a member of the Longview Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Bostick was preceded in death by his loving wife, Christine.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Janie Rogers and husband Keith of Longview, Sherry Minze and husband Jackie of Georgetown, TX, Nancy Horn and husband Christie Horn of LaGrange, TX and Ricky Bostick of Lufkin; brother, Don Bostick and wife Libby of Longview; grandchildren, Andy Rogers and wife Gail of Tyler, Stephen Rogers of Diana, Jennifer Binnings and husband Dave of Plano, Michelle Minze of Georgetown, Katrina Horn and Chrisie Adam Horn both of LaGrange; 8 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; and a large and loving extended family.
