Fred W. Acree's Obituary
Fred W. Acree age 78, of Longview, passed away March 21, 2012 at Good Shepherd Medical Center, Longview.
He was born to Dan and Bulah Acree July 21, 1933 in Point, LA. It was there he attending local schools growing up.
On August 5, 1956 Fred married Joyce Davis. They moved Longview, TX where they made their home for the next for the next 56 years raising a family.
For 15 years Fred worked for Letourneau Industries. He then started his own business, A&D Metal Building Erections.
Fred belonged to the Elks Lodge, Knights of Epiphany and was a life-time member of the VFW. He loved to hunt and fish and was devoted to his family.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Acree, daughter, Pamela Blalack and her fiancé, Lynn Jones, son, Ronnie Acree and his wife Karen, daughter, Sandy Thomas and her husband Benjie, grandchildren, Crystal Thornton, Kim Fourman, Jenna Collins, Brandon Gilbert, Lauren and Jessica Acree, Aaron and Alex Thomas, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Rader Funeral Home Longview,
starting at 10am. In lue' of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
