Graveside services for Fred Junior Goodson, 85, of Diana will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 24, 2011 at East Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Billy Owens officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Goodson passed away Friday morning at his home.
Fred was born on June 27, 1926 in Gilmer, Texas to Harim and Miggie Goodson. He was an avid sportsman and hunter. He loved working for many years as a fishing and hunting guide. He won the State Bass Championship at Lake O' the Pines in 1966 and 1967.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emma Goodson; his children, Patsy Goodson, Linda Goodson, Jeanette Goodson, Fred Junior Goodson JR., Marvin Dean Goodson, Lumon John Goodson, and Evelyn Goodson; 21 grandkids, and numerous great-grandkids.
