Frankie Dorgan Pollick's Obituary
Frances Dorgan Pollick, 69, joined her heavenly father on March 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Frankie was born in Marshall, Texas on October 21, 1949. She attended school in Marshall where she lived until 1977. She then moved to Longview, Texas where she married her spouse Russel Pollick on July 8, 1977.
Frankie was very active in her church at Calvary Baptist of Longview. She participated in many activities with her church family as well as took care of many people in her lifetime. She was a very compassionate and talented person that enjoyed cooking and baking. Her favorite time was when people gathered together and she was able to prepare special meals for each one of us even if that meant being in the kitchen for days at a time.
She was a very devoted Mother and “Nan” of two daughters and three grandchildren that she dearly loved. She was always volunteering her time to cook a special cake, prepare a specific meal, sew curtains, or hem someone’s pants for them. They always knew if they called Nan, she would make time to do whatever it was they were requesting.
She is proceeded in death by her beloved mother, Nadine Dorgan Reid, stepfather James Reid, and Her father Olan Dorgan.
Left to treasure her memory include her husband of forty years Russel Pollick of Longview, Texas, her daughters Tracie Palmer of Hallsville, Texas, Candy and Shane Lee of Rockwall, Texas. Sister Ann and Richard Dickerson of Tyler, Texas and Brother David Dorgan of Marshall, Texas. Grandchildren Morgan and Dylan Palmer of Hallsville, Texas, Carson Lee of Rockwall, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank UTSW of Dallas for the excellent care they have provided over the past few months. The entire staff of this facility has provided exceptional care. Also, Calvary Baptist Church of Longview has been such a support system for all of us through this time.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas. A celebration of her life will be on Friday March 16, 10:00 am at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Service will be officiated by Brother Donnie Barron. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park.
