Funeral services for Frankie Faye Grayum, 80, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Greggton First Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Pallbearers will include, Rick Dollahite, Frankie Smith, Todd Coleman, Mike Smith, Blake Smith, Kenny Blalock, and Mickel Blalock.
Mrs. Grayum was born on August 11, 1922 to Daniel and Ida Blalock. She passed away on April 12, 2003 in a Longview hospital.
She was a social worker for Gregg County, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and an active member of American Business Women?s Association for 30 years holding various offices including President many years. She was voted American Business Woman of the year and received the distinguished honor of Senior Citizen of Gregg County in 1981.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mrs. Grayum was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Dick of Longview; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Gene Pittman of Whitehouse, and Dee and Jimmy Smith of Longview; two grandsons, Rick Dollahite and his wife Shannon of Round Rock, and Frankie Smith of Longview; one granddaughter, Rhonda Coleman and her husband Todd of Round Rock; the joys of her life, two great grandsons, Mike and Blake Smith of Longview; and one great granddaughter, Cayman Coleman of Round Rock; and one sister and brother-in-law, Dora and Bob Lee of Graham.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening, April 14, 2003 at the funeral home.
