Frank Wayne Taylor's Obituary
Funeral services for Frank Wayne Taylor, 86, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Thursday, November 29, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Reverend Virginia Wall officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. Mr. Taylor passed away Saturday at his home at Buckner. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Frank was born on February 6, 1926 in North Zulch, TX to Johnny and Sally Taylor. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and was retired from Mobil Oil Company where he worked for 36 years as a Comptroller in many capacities including head of the Canadian Division, Mineral Division, and worked in many places including Oklahoma City and New Orleans. He was married to Helen Smith on February 23, 1963. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was a beloved member of Wesley-McCabe United Methodist Church, where he served as Treasure for many years, and will be deeply missed by all his friends and neighbors at Buckner.
He is survived by his step son and daughter-n-law, William C. and Sharon Gentry of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his grandchildren Brian Gentry of Pryor, Oklahoma, Marcy Ann Waymire and her husband Jerry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Shawn Frates of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
