Graveside services for Frank N. Spacek, 91, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Rosewood Park Cemetery with Dr. Rick Webb of Buckner-Westminster Place officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Spacek died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at a local nursing home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Kathryn Spacek in December, 2007.
He was born April 21, 1917, in Manchester, Connecticut to William and Mary Spacek. After serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army in World War II, he and his wife moved to Dallas. Retiring in 1967 from a management position with the City of Dallas, they made their home at Lake Cherokee, and later moved to Longview. He and his wife were members of the First Christian Church of Longview.
Mr. Spacek is survived by his brother-in-law and wife, Robert and Marilyn Witcher; nieces, Anne Marie Elliott and husband John, and Judy Noli and husband Joe; nephew, Rob Witcher; great nephews, Matthew and Christopher Elliott; great nieces, Briana Noli and Elizabeth Witcher; and special friends, Tom and Bobbie Whitehead, and Bill, Carolyn and Macy Shaw.
