Frank N. Lee's Obituary
Celebration services for Frank N. Lee, 66, of Longview, will be Tuesday, January 6th at 10:00am at Greggton First Baptist Church with Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. Frank departed this world on January 2nd at a local medical center. He is now with the Lord his shepherd. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
He was born on February 16, 1942 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Cleve and Lorena Lee. After the death of his father the family moved to Henderson where Frank attended school. He graduated in 1960 and attended Kilgore College. In 1960, he met and married the love of his life, Sue Dixon. For the next 48 years, they were unconditionally devoted to each other.
Frank was a very strong family man, and his "kiddos" were the pride of his life. He was an avid fisherman until he taught his wife to fish- and he said that was the worst mistake he'd ever made. He was the "knowledge book" for all of his family. He loved anything that challenged the mind such as trivia, crosswords, and game shows- mainly Jeopardy. Frank worked for Xerox for 18 years, and for Rexam the past 27 years. Frank was a member of Greggton First Baptist, where he loved his Sunday school class- The Willing Workers, and was recently ordained as a deacon.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years Sue Dixon Lee, daughter and son-in-law Tami and Jason Arnold of Longview, grandchildren David and Mandi Whitfield of Diana, Tyson Jones of Arlington, and Dylan Gearhart of Gladewater, great-granddaughter Destiny Whitfield, sister and brother-in-law Minnie and Charles Myers of White Oak, brother and sister-in-law James and Mary Lochridge of Arlington, father-in-law Jessie Dixon whom he called Dad of Henderson, brothers and sisters-in-law Jessie and Sandy Dixon of Jacksonville, Dale and Candy Dixon of Huntsville, Jimmy and Glenda Dixon of Fairview, and Beth Black of Tatum. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, and 25 great-nieces and nephews. His nephews will honor him as pall bearers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Koya, Dr. Taylor, the cancer clinic, and the 4th floor nurses at Good Shepherd Medical Center for the concern and professional care of our loved one.
Visitation will be Monday, January 5th at Rader Funeral Home of Longview from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Donations may be made to Hearts Way Hospice or Greggton First Baptist Church.
