Frank Hetzel's Obituary
It is with heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Hetzel on July 11, 2024 as he was surrounded by family and loved ones. Frank was born in Tampa Florida February 4, 1961. He grew up in Longview and graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1979. Frank attended Kilgore College and Louisiana Tech where played trumpet in the respective bands. After college, Frank relocated to Arkansas and later Oklahoma where he obtained his nursing degree and finally made his way home to Longview to help care for his nephew.
Frank was a simple man who loved cooking, fishing and camping. He never met a stranger, and was loved by many. Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Sylvia Hetzel. He is survived by his children Kristen Vaughn-Hetzel (Catherine) and Kyle Hetzel, his grandchildren Pandora and Percival, sister Julie (Donny), brother Fred (Jodi), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and his sweet dog Graycie.
Per Frank’s request there will be no service. He asks that everyone have a party and celebrate his life! He will be sorely missed but we are at peace knowing he is in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Memorials may be made to your favorite charity or to the Burn the Note fund at Grace Crossing Methodist Church in his name.
