Francis Hilton Burt
1939-2015
Francis was born in Nacogdoches, TX on August 13, 1939 and lost his battle with Cancer on October 23, 2015. He resided in Henderson, TX.
Francis retired in 2000 after working over 40 years in the auto industry. He spent 25 years with Leland Lincoln Mercury in Houston and left his position as GM to start is own dealership, Burt Ford Mercury in Livingston, TX. He later served as Area Manager for Johnny Williams Dealership before purchasing his last dealership, Nakotosh Nissan in Natchitoches, LA. His love of cars ran deep. He enjoyed drag racing, building cars and vintage Fords and he was a member of the Ford Falcon Auto Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Burt of Houston and survived by their children, Kerry Burt of Houston, Cheryl Cotton Meyer and husband Bill of Round Rock, TX, Angela Burt of Georgetown, TX, Grandsons Taylor Cotton of Pflugerville, TX and Travis Cotton of San Antonio.
Also survived by Tracy Lewis of Henderson, TX and their son Justin Burt and wife Amber of Frisco, TX and Granddaughter Kenley Burt.
Francis final resting place will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nacogdoches, TX next to his Mother, Vaucyleen Bell Coats and generations of the Bell family.

A celebration of Life will be held in Houston at 14 Pews, 800 Aurora St., Sunday November 1st at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to Texas Oncology Foundation.
