Frances Marie Moss Tidwell
Funeral services for Frances Marie Moss Tidwell, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with James Winniford officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park. Mrs. Tidwell passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008 in Longview.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tidwell was born August 21, 1921 in Hearne, Texas to George Washington Moss, I, and Pearl Bailey Moss. She and her husband had been a resident of the Wesley House Assisted Living Center in Gilmer since March of 2008. She moved to East Mountain in 1976, when her husband was transferred by Exxon Pipeline Co. from Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in East Mountain.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 66 years, Edward Hill Tidwell of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Amy Tidwell of Fairbanks, Alaska, Conrad Tidwell of Gilmer, and James and Glynn Tidwell of Prairieville, Louisiana; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Hildah Baldwin and brother, George Washington Moss II, both of New Braunfels, Texas.
Following the services at Rosewood Park, the family friends will be escorted to the Wesley House Assisted Living Center in Gilmer, 231 Quail Dr. for a reception.
