Frances Black
Funeral services for Frances Black, 74, of Longview, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastor A. D. Spears and Rev. Charles Chargios officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. She passed away Thursday, February 3, 2005, at her residence in Longview.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Black, born February 11, 1930 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Hamp and Evie Berry, was a longtime resident of the Longview and Gladewater area. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Christian Tabernacle in Longview, and was truly dedicated to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and Herman Berry; sisters, Ruby and Maxine Berry; daughters, Peggy Black and Patsy Kern; and her son Gary Black.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 57 years, E. E. ?Pete? Black of Longview; sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey and Diana Black, Roger and Marilyn Black and Randy and Glenda Black, all of Longview; grandchildren, Lori Deitrich, Beth Satterfield, Chris Black, Kimberly Prince, Kristy Black, Brad Black and Amanda Black; and great grandchildren, Jessica Deitrich, Matthew, Ehtan, and Rebecca Satterfield, and Hunter Prince.
The family would like to thank Kathy McMillion and Cassidy Ogle and Greater Hospice of Longview, Dr. Larry Frase and the Longview Cancer Center staff. Also, a special thank you is extended to her church family for all their prayers and support during this difficult time.
