Marie or “Nanny” as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all their friends loved spending time with her family. She sewed professionally for multiple interior designers in town and made beautiful custom window treatments. She was a faithful member of Greggton Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Hill, son, Leo Hill, and siblings Wallace Nutt, Juanita Clark, and Laverne Cantu. She will be remembered by her daughter Linda Bell and husband, Stephen of Longview; Sister in laws Ann Bates Debrock of Carthage and Dena Fay Sterling of Snyder; daughter in law Brenda Hill of Longview: grandchildren Angela Hill (Robbie) of Houston, Heather Tefteller (Allen), Scott Haygood (Ami) and Holly Witt (Chris) all of Longview; great-grandchildren Tyler and Lydia Bailey, Collin, Jackson and Griffin Haygood, and Kyndall and Cason Witt; siblings Maxine Davis of Longview, AT Nutt of Carthage, and Patricia Bradshaw of Cabot, AR. Sisters in law Ann Bates Debrock of Carthage and Dena Fay Sterling of Snyder. And numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the prayers and warm-wishes sent during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10 a.m., and followed by a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
