Frances Goddard Wolfe's Obituary
Services will be 1 PM Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Rosewood Park Mausoleum for Frances Goddard Wolfe, 91, with Reverend Herb Spady officiating. Mrs. Wolfe passed away on August 10, 2011. She was born on September 6, 1919, in the community of Canaan, Benton County, Mississippi.
She attended grade school at Grand Junction, Tennessee and graduated from high school at Brownwood, Texas in 1937. She was married to the late Fletcher Ozell Wolfe on February 5, 1939. She took Western Union training at Greenville, Texas in 1940. She began her 27 years of service in Alice, Texas in 1941 and made several transfers before retiring at Longview, Texas in May 1972.
She was a member of Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
Survivors include their daughter Paula Sue Gilligan and her husband, Jim, of Plano, Texas
grandsons: Jason Harmon and wife, Michelle, of McKinney, Texas and David Gilligan of Plano, Texas
granddaughter: Tammy Clanton and her husband Devin
great grandson: Jacob Clanton of McKinney, Texas
sister: Mary Josephine Cates of Bartlett, Tennessee
brother: Louis Goddard of San Angelo, Texas
Preceding her in death by her parents, Marvin and Lula Goddard; sisters Ruth Sauls, Rubye Sealand, and Pauline Gregory
