Frances Bronson's Obituary
Frances A. Bronson, age 87, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma formerly of Longview passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Concordia Village in Oklahoma City.
She was born September 6, 1922 in Richview, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Myrtle Jackson Watson. She married Charles Bronson on July 31, 1940 in Centralia, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1995.
Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Jr. and Robert; and sisters, Maxine and Virginia.
Mrs. Bronson is survived by four daughters, Barbara Tom Young, Joyce Bob Hall, Alice Bronson, Charlette Owen Laughlin; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and sisters, Betty Felchlia and Marilyn Jose of Centralia, Ill.
Mrs. Bronson and her husband lived many years in Longview, having moved there from Peoria, Illinois in 1946. She was a devout Christian lady, a homemaker, and a devoted wife and mother. For several years she worked as a dental assistant in the office of Dr. John Guttry. She was a member and active volunteer for many years at Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., Longview, Tx. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26 at the Rader Funeral Home.
