Floys Marie Moore's Obituary
Funeral Services for Floys Marie Moore, 88, will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta, OK, with Rev. Steve Skinner officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville, OK. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
Serving as casket bearers will be Tony Whittington, Chad Whittington, Steven Whittington, Greg Hicks, Jerry Allen and Jacob Voyles. Honorary casket bearers will be Mike Whittington, Brian David Voyles, Gary Whittington, Roger Whittington and Ryan Whittington.
Mrs. Moore was born on March 15, 1937, in Thackerville, OK. The third of twelve children to LeRoy and Estella Whittington. She passed away March 7, 2026, at her residence in White Oak, TX. She began her career as an industrial textile worker for Burlington Industrial in Sherman, TX, before moving to Longview with her husband, Edward, and children in 1972. In Longview, she worked as a seamstress for various companies including Longview Manufacturing and Mike Benet Formalwear. She retired in 1999 enjoying time at home with her family and friends. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Moore. Left to cherish her memories include her daughter and son-in-law, Wynona and Reese Wright, Sr. of Longview; son Edward Wayne Moore of White Oak and son and daughter-in-law, Roy Eugene and Kelli Moore of Longview; granddaughters, Tanya (Jeff) Kronschnabl of Frisco, TX; Dana (Aaron) Fial of Longview, TX; grandsons Reese Wright Jr. of Denton, TX, Donny (Karyn) Moore of Gilmer, TX; four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Kronschnabl of Frisco, TX; Nova Marie Moore of Gilmer, TX; Reila Marie Fial of Longview, TX; five sisters, four brothers and several nieces and nephews.
We would like to express our gratitude for the thoughtful care of our mother from Christine Howe, Tristan Dollar and the staff of Marshall Hospice of East Texas.
