Floyd Fields' Obituary
Floyd Lee Fields, age 76, passed away during peaceful sleep Tuesday morning after a lengthy illness.
Floyd was born December 31th, 1938 in Wichita Falls, Texas to James Fields and Edna Bell Cox Fields.
Mr. Fields was in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves for several years and was employed by Tyler Weathermakers Inc. from 1981 until 2001 when he retired and then worked part time for the company from 2003 to 2011.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James, Jerry and Howard, a sister, Mary, and his first wife, Mary Fay Standridge.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, sister Martha and her husband Roland Hollenquist, sister in law Virginia Fields, several nieces and nephews, three stepdaughters, several stepgrandchildren and their children.
Mr. Fields was loved by many and the world will be a less kind and less generous place without him.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM at Harvest Time Church in Flint. There will be a one hour visitation period prior to the funeral. Burial will be at East Mountain Cemetery in East Mountain near Longview.
