Floyd E. Nunley's Obituary
Floyd E. Nunley born December 2, 1950 to Curtis and Margaret Nunley in Homer, Louisiana went to be with our Lord and Savior Friday September 6, 2013.
Mr. Nunley was a longtime resident of Longview and most recently 2003 to present of the Harleton area. Floyd was a Judson Blue Devil "through and
through". And a Longview High School graduate of 1970. Floyd set roots down early on in the East Texas area by working with Brown and Root, driving a truck for
Satterwhite Log Homes, until he retired early due to health issues from Sam Joiner Trucking out of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Mr. Nunley was a member of Alpine Church of
Christ.
Even while battling major health issues, Mr. Nunley did his best to spread the Good Lord's Word. Whether it be praying with family, or complete strangers,
telling others about God's love, or doing Missionary work on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico with his Wife Cathy and Son Louis.
Mr. Nunley is survived by his wife of 10 years, Cathy Hollomon Nunley of Harleton. Butch loved her dearly as she did him. They were the best of friends. Daughter, Rebekah Higar Baldwin and Son-In-Law Nathaniel Higar of Gilmer, son, Louis Hardt of Harleton. Two beautiful grandchildren who were his world, Dallas and Robyn Higar of Gilmer. Mother-In-Law, Merlene Hollomon of Harleton. Life Long Best friend Danny Hollomon. Close Friends, Roy and Kay

"family" and staff of Good Shepherd Medical Center, Whispering Pines and Champion EMS. Also the First Responders of Harleton and Jackson Volunteer Fire Departments
Butch, as he was known to all who were close to him had numerous young people who "adopted" him as dad. He loved them as much if not more as they loved him. Clifton

Visitation for Mr. Nunley will be Monday, September 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Judson Road. Services will be the next day at
Rader Funeral Home, Tuesday September 10, 2013 at 3:00 pm with the following Pallbearers: Jim and John Axberg, Rickie Hollomon, Danny Hollomon, Roy Anders and Louis
Hardt, with Special Honorary Pallbearers Dallas Higar with father Nathaniel. Graveside to follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas Directly before Brushy Creek
at Lake O'The Pines.
