Floyd A. Walton
Funeral services for Floyd A. Walton, 77, of Longview will be held at Ten O?clock A.M. Saturday August 31, 2002 at the Hope Community Church 1105 Lake Drive with Reverend Bobby Blalock offi-ciating. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Walton died Wednesday August 28, 2002 at his residence.
He was born July 15, 1925 in Donna, Texas and had lived in Longview since 1950. Mr. Floyd worked for Lone Star Steel Company as Electrical Superintendent. He was a member of Hope Community Church and a Veteran of World War 2 serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Bersie Walton of Longview; two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd A. "Sonny" and Polly Walton of Arlington, Texas; Marvin Lee and Judy Walton of Diana, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Maxine and Kenneth Everett of Diana, Texas; Adopted son and wife, Jim Bob and Pam Crump of Union Grove, Texas; Ten grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Hollis Davis of Farmers Branch, Texas; Ruth Payne of Odom, Texas; Stella Mae and Jim Young of Conroe, Texas; brother-in-law Jay White of Queen City, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister, Arnell Louise White.
The family will receive friends Friday August 30, 2002 from 6PM until 8 PM.
