I have know Flo since the seventies. I was at Astro Air for two stints and then later worked with her when she was in Hugh Goodpasture’s office. I have to tell a funny story. Will make it as brief as I can. I picked up the phone and Flo lit into me. “You do NOT have to buy me flowers just for doing my job!” I had no idea what she was talking about. She slowed down enough after a couple of minutes for me to ask what she was talking about. I went to her office to survey the evidence. Sure enough, she had flowers with a note that read “Thanks for your support, Barry. She wouldn’t believe me and called the flower shop and coerced the sender from them. Turns out they were from a friend of hers, maybe brother in law. “Barry” was intended to be Barry Switzer. The flowers were sent as a joke due to Flo being a forever Cowboy fan and them not doing well at the time. She gave this friend a cussin’ for a few minutes, then we all laughed! RIP sweet lady!
