Fern has been my sister-in-love since 1953 - 68 years, along with her sister, Louise Hughes (deceased), her brother John Powers (deceased), and her beloved sister Madelyn Alford. Their mother, Celeste Powers, was a wonderful spiritual mentor to me. I could not have had a more loving family than they have been. Fern was a perfectionist in every way. Her moto for her home was, "A place for every thing and every thing in it's place." She kept her self groomed to perfection. She loved pretty things and she was always generous with me. I love you, Fern!
