Faynelle Marie Youngblood's Obituary
Services for Faynelle Marie Youngblood, 89, of Longview will be held at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Youngblood passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Longview.
Mrs. Youngblood went to be with her Lord February 4, 2015. She was born April 30, 1925 in Childress, Texas to O.W. and Florence Killingsworth. She had lived in Longview since 1965 and moved here from Waco. TX. While a member of Oakland Heights she taught vacation Bible school, children’s Sunday school, training union, teens and adults though out the years. She served as president of the Longview Women’s Forum, P.T.A. and Oak Crest Women’s Club. She taught in L.I.S.D. public schools as a speech teacher. She graduated from E.T.B.U. among the who’s “Who” colleges. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years William T. “Bill” Youngblood and sister Norma Rae Clements.
Mrs. Youngblood is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Laneesa Gayle Cowan and Charles of Tyler, Lanette Charise Crittenden and James of Gilmer; grandchildren Mallory Cowan Broaddus and Paul, Anne Claire Cowan, Ashley, Morgan and Rachel Crittenden; one great grandchild Caidyn Kilby; brother-in-law Robert( Bob) Clements; and a first cousin Melvin Bertrand.
The family would like to give special appreciation to Family Home Health which include Robin B. Harbour, RN and Director of Nursing; Dave Harbour, Administrator; Patrick Radcliff, LVN; Robin T. Watson, RN; Merle Kenter, RN; Craige Blackshear, PT; Karen Thomas, PTA; caregivers Heather Chestnut, Phyllis Morrow, Raven Owens, Teresa Bynum; office staff Paula McKinley, QA, Logan Sustaita, staff of Longview Regional Hospital, Longview Fire Department, Summer Meadows, Dr. Charles Martin, Dr. Richard Ernest; and all her Grace Sunday School Class.
