Faye Trimble's Obituary
Faye Trimble passed away on February 24, 2013 at the age of 96. She was born February 4, 1917 in Milano, Texas to Albert K. and Lillie Jane Fisher. Her mother died in the influenza epidemic of 1918. Faye was reared by her grandmother until the age of six when she moved to Dallas, Texas to live with her father and three older sisters, and to begin her schooling. In 1937, Faye married Lynn Trimble in Dallas where they lived and reared three children. Faye and Lynn moved to Longview, Texas in 1993.
While living in Dallas, Faye and Lynn were active members of Trinity Heights Church of Christ and Skillman Avenue Church of Christ. Upon moving to Longview they quickly became dedicated members of the Alpine Church of Christ. Faye was a devoted and faithful Christian and loved her church families.
Faye had a special and treasured relationship with her four grandchildren. They took trips together, had many sleepovers, played board and card games for hours and today her grandchildren continue to prepare all of their favorite "Memom" dishes.
During her years in Longview, Faye made many memories with her dear friends in the "Fun Bunch", playing Skip-Bo and sharing countless meals and outings together.
Faye was preceded in death by Lynn, her loving husband of 63 years, and her beloved daughter, Linda Trimble Ware. She is survived by her daughter Karen Hall and husband John of Longview, and her son Skip Trimble and wife Mary of Dallas; granddaughter Michelle Broderick and husband Mark of New Braunfels; and grandsons Brent Murray of Frisco, Greg Hall and wife Tammie of San Antonio, and Ben Hall and wife Kristi of Southlake. Precious to Faye were her great-grandchildren, Sheridan and Riley Broderick, Hannah Murray, Mac, Will and Sam Hall, and Lizzie and Anna Hall, all whom survive her.
The family expresses sincere thanks, love and appreciation to her devoted caregivers these past three years: Georgia Lohr, Debra McGowen, Betty Browning, Ezell Brown, Jolene Jennings, Rose Hayden and Gloria Dickinson. We are grateful for their kindness and compassion in guiding us through this journey and for taking such wonderful care of Faye. Also, we thank the loving staff of Beacon Hospice.
Faye, with her dry sense of humor, her non-judgmental ways, and her deep love for her family and friends will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas. The Rev. Dr. Bill White will officiate. Local arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Beacon Hospice, 5016 Gilmer Road, Longview, Texas 75604, or to the charity of your choice.
