Faye Belle Mathis' Obituary
Services for Faye B. Mathis, 95, of Longview will be 2 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at Valley View Baptist Church, with Rev. Barksdale officiating. Ms. Mathis passed away Saturday morning in a Longview hospital. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM Monday, September 5, 2005 at the funeral home.
Faye Belle Mathis was born on December 1, 1909, in the Union Grove community to William and Willie Ann Ramey. She worked most of her life as a homemaker and a grocery store clerk. She was a long time member of Valley View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Desmal Lee ?Deck? Mathis, in 1968; and 6 brothers and sisters.
Ms. Mathis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and Jimmy Bob Rolls; grandchildren: John Daniel, Alfred Daniel, Ron Daniel, Mary Goodwin, and Sherry Owens; 11 great-grandchildren; and more than 20 great-great-grandchildren.
