Fannie Gibson's Obituary
Graveside services for Frances "Fannie" W. Gibson, 98, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Gum Springs Cemetery with Reverend Joe McGraw and Reverend Randy Pitts officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Gibson passed away Thursday morning in a local nursing home. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Fannie was born on May 8, 1914 in Harleton to William and Pattie Williams. She was a long time member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Fannie loved her family and loved talking on the phone with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Gibson; her sons Kenneth Gibson, and Wendell Gibson and his wife Nell; his son –in-law Manuel "Tiny" Rogers, and Jimmy Pitts.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Milton Gibson and his wife Nalda; her daughter, June Mickelboro and her husband Allen; her daughters, Linda Rogers and Virginia Pitts; her beloved niece Ila Rhee Ford; her grandchildren Becky McKinney, Karen Gibson, Paula Linton, Wayne Gibson, Gary Gibson, Cara Cox, Odie Mickelboro, Pam Switek, Kenny Mickelboro, Joe Mickelboro, Ricky Rogers, Randy Pitts, and Steven Pitts. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
