Ewald J. Spader's Obituary
Ewald J. Spader, born April 29, 1916 in Chicago Illinois, to Joseph and Elizabeth Spader, departed this earth on Feb. 8, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Dale and Ron, son in law Dana Tomlinson and daughter in law Sandy Spader. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Johnnie Spader, sister Erna Spader of Chicago IL, son Gary of Tinley Park IL, daughters Peggy Froelich of Longview, TX and Diana Tomlinson of Conroe, TX; 7 grandchildren, 8 greatgrandchildren and daughter in law Nancy Spader of Dixon, IL. During W.W. II Ed served his country in the AAF. Upon his retirement from Textron Ed relocated to Longview, TX in 1972. He then worked for Penney?s and later became the manager of Pargas. He was active in Woodman of the World and one of the first graduates of Longview Citizens Police Academy. Eds Funeral will be held on Tues. Feb. 13, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. @First Lutheran Church, where he was a member, council member and faithful Sunday school participant. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park. Visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Monday Feb. 12, 5-8 p.m. While we rejoice in his homecoming with our Lord and Savior we will miss his quick wit and the love he displayed for family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund at First Luthern Church. The family wishes to thank friends, neighbors, church family and all who have shown their compassion and love through visits, cards, calls and food. May God bless you all.
