Evie Jo Foster's Obituary
Graveside services for Evie Jo Foster, 73, of Longview, TX will be 12 Noon Friday at Richland Cemetery in Richland, Texas with Rev. Roy T. Sherrod officiating under direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
She died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Foster was born August 3, 1931 in Richland, Texas. She graduated from Texas City High School in 1948. Prior to moving to Longview in 1974, she traveled the world as the wife of a career Air Force fighter pilot, who served in Korea and Vietnam. The family lived in Florida, the Philippines, California, and Germany. Mrs. Foster was a loving mother and grandmother, and was a member of the Baptist faith. For the past three years, she enjoyed her life at Colonial Village, where she made many friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Debbie Foster of San Antonio; Daughters and son-in-law, Robbie and Jeff Sherrod and Linda Pierce of Longview; Grandchildren, Bob Foster of San Antonio, Melissa, Will and Molly Sherrod and Ashley, Daniel, and Collin Pierce all of Longview; an aunt and several cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, September 16, 2004 from 6 until 7:30 PM.
