Everett Eugene Bennett Memorial services for Everett Eugene Bennett, 74, of Longview, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Winterfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mike Lindstrom officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Monday, October 3, at his residence in Longview. Mr. Bennett was born March 5, 1931 in Ashland, MS, to Mullins and Lillian Westmoreland Bennett. He was a retired over the road truck driver for A.B.F. Trucking Co. after 35 years, and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was also a Korean Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Lillian Scott of Radisson, Saskatchewan. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Adele Bennett of Longview; children, Vernon David Clements and wife Rayma of Houston, Lloyd Scott Clements and wife Karen of Bufort, SC, Darryl Kenneth Clements and wife Juanita of Dallas, Colin A. Clements of Arlington, Neil Trent Clements and wife Charlotte of Foley, AL, SFC. Patrick E. Clements and wife Capt. Jackie Clements of Tacoma, WA, Wo2 Marcus Robert Bennett of Ft. Campbell, KY and fiancé Sgt. Margaret Garner of San Antonio, TX, and Mickey Eugene Bennett of Memphis, TN; brothers, Doyle Bennett of Ripley, MS, J. R. Bennett of Ashland, MS, Gaither Bennett of Southhaven, MS, and Thomas Bennett of Columbus, GA; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
