Evelyn Lamb's Obituary
Evelyn Lamb, 81, of Longview, went to be with her Lord and Savior, whom she had accepted at the age of 16, Thursday morning.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon Saturday at Woodland Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery, Eldorado, Illinois at 4 PM Sunday. The family will greet friends at Rader Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 8 PM. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Texas.
Mrs. Lamb was born December 1, 1927 in Christopher, Illinois to James and Jean Brown. She was a secretary for a public school district and a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. She was very active in church and was a teacher of the Naomi Sunday School class.
A loving wife and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Lamb, whom she married in 1946, brothers, Wilson, Jim and Hugh Brown. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Rebecca Jaap and husband Paul of Longview, grandchildren, Jason Jaap and Christy Jaap, both of Longview , sister: Christine Foster of Carterville, Illinois and a number of nieces and nephews.
