Eva Wilson Eaker
Eva Wilson Eaker, a lifetime resident of Longview, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at 100 years of age.
Mrs. Eaker was born to Thomas Jefferson and Minnie Alford Wilson on November 9, 1905 in Gum Springs, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Eaker; son, Tom Eaker; and brothers, Ollie and Archie Wilson. She is survived by her grandson, Tommy Eaker and wife, Priscilla of Longview; great-grandsons, Ryan and Andrew Eaker; daughter-in-law, Eleanor Abney and her husband, Thomas H. ?Toby? Abney of Longview; sister-in-law, Lela Wilson of Longview; niece, Diane Malone and her husband Dan Malone of Longview; and lifetime friend, Alma McDent of Longview.
Mrs. Eaker was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church of Longview, where she and Ernest were married in 1926. At the time of her death, she was the church?s oldest member.
Graveside services will 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Memory Park Cemetery with Dr. Jim Lewis officiating.
