Eva Russell Tucker's Obituary
A graveside service celebrating the life of Eva Tucker, with her son James B. ?Jim? Tucker, JR officiating, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Memory Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Eva passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Eva was born on February 13, 1922 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was raised in Birmingham and married the love of her life, Jimmy Tucker, SR on April 25, 1939. She raised her family in Birmingham, Longview and Lone Star. Eva was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother. Her delight for over 20 years was babysitting with her grandchildren Monica, Brian, Alyssa and Caroline. She was also a long time member of Longview Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, James B. ?Jimmy? Tucker, SR., and her daughter, Melanie Eva Tucker McNiel.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Tucker Gatlin of Longview and Nancy Tucker Adams of Austin; her son, James B. ?Jim? Tucker, JR of Lake Cherokee; her son-in-law, Bruce McNiel of Diana; her grandchildren Monica Adams Robinson and her husband Trey of Austin, Brian McNiel and his wife Carrie of Austin, Alyssa McNiel and her fiancé` Bart Plumb of Katy, Texas, and Caroline McNiel of Diana; and her great grandchildren Robbie, Reid, and Rhett Robinson of Austin, and Brooke and Megan McNiel of Austin.
