Eva Hunley's Obituary
Mrs. Eva B. Hunley, 86 passed away on October 25, 2014. She was born June 30, 1928 to parents Harold and Dorothy Bird in Sicily Island, Louisiana. Mrs. Hunley is preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Tommy” Hunley. Her parents; brothers Shelton and Charles Bird; twin sister Evelyn Bright; and sisters Hilda Toups, Joyce Lewis and Anita Piraja.
Mrs. Hunley is survived by her daughter Syd Davidson and husband Jeff of Elysian Fields, TX; son Edgar Lee of Baltimore, MD; Granddaughters, Sabrina Davidson of Longview, TX, Jackie Jansen, and husband Dan of Elysian Fields, TX.; grandsons Just Davidson of Elysian Fields, TX, David Davidson and wife Casey of Elysian Fields, TX; great-granddaughters Grace Roquemore and Deanna Davidson and great-grandson William Davidson. Sisters Avis Compton and husband Allen of Winnsboro, LA; Janette Bird of Monroe, LA; Francis Yougblood and husband Louis of Michie, TN; Brothers Kenneth Bird and wife JoLynn of Denham Springs, LA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hunley was a graduate of Sicily Island High School and of a Business School in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a homemaker and long-time resident of Longview. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services for Mrs. Eva Hunley will be Wednesday October 29 at Rosewood Park at 2 pm with a visitation prior to the service at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, TX starting at 1pm.
