Lorell Weigle Timmins
Lorell Timmins, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 5, 2014. Lorell was born, July 16, 1922 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She spent her childhood in Brookfield, Illinois, where she graduated from high school. She was working for the railroad when she met and married her beloved husband, Emory, May 5, 1945, and they began their lives together. She worked and supported her husband through Baylor Dental School upon his graduation in 1949. She was an active member of Winterfield Methodist Church in Longview where she contributed volunteer hours with many fund raisers. Bridge, antiques and crafts were among her many interests and she was an avid reader. Lorell and her family enjoyed many trips to the mountains of New Mexico and Branson, Missouri, as well.
Lorell touched the lives of many people in a profound way and she will be sadly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Rebecca Bair and her husband Larry; Lisa Joneson and her husband Richard; son, Emory Timmins and his wife Carol; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends.
Lorell is preceded in death by her husband, Emory S. Timmins, father, Andy Quinn; mother, Ray Weigle; brother, Chuck Weigle; and brother, Jack Weigle.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday, June 9, 2014 in the mausoleum at Rosewood Park, Longview, TX Memorial donations can be sent to any charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
