Graveside services for Ethel Mae Martin, 97, of Longview, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Grace Hill Cemetery in Longview. She passed away Friday, January 16 at her residence in Longview.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, January 19, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Martin was born April 12, 1906 in Monroe, LA. to Charles and Essie Mae Thornton. She was a retired legal secretary and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge E. A. Martin and sons, Charles Maurice Martin and Earnest A. Martin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughter-in-law, Billy Ray Martin of Longview and Lt. Col. Thomas A. and Dorothy S. Martin of Roswell, NM; 5 grandchildren, Erin Martin Ward of Las Cruces, NM., Susan Melinda Jorgensen of Marietta GA., Thomas A. Martin, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO., Billy Ray Martin, Jr. of Longview, and Teresa Wolcson of Ft. Worth, TX.; 7 great grandchildren; and niece, Victoria Phillipys of Santa Ana, CA.
