Ethel Mae Hightower's Obituary
Funeral services for Ethel Mae Hightower, 84, of Longview, will be 10 AM Tuesday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Longview.
The family will greet friends Monday, June 13, from 6 to 8 PM at Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
Mrs. Hightower went to be with her Lord on June 10, 2011, at her residence.
Ethel was born in Coffee Springs, Alabama on July 26, 1926 to Will and Lela Stewart Phillips. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Lakeport, a homemaker, and a wonderful mother, friend to many and had a very generous and giving heart. Ethel loved to care for others and had a passion for cooking.
Mrs. Hightower was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, a great grandson, Landon Moore and by two 2 sisters and five 5 brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Janie Boaze and husband Francis of Gladewater, sons: Buster Hightower and wife Pat of Longview, and Robert Hightower and wife Mavis of Pensacola, Florida, grandchildren: Chris Hightower, Lisa Sheilds, Leslie Crews and Chuck Moore and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
