Funeral services for Erasmo J. Vega of Overton will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Pastor Tom McDaniels of LifeBridge Christian Center officiating. Graveside services will follow at White Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, January 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Mr. Vega was born on November 25, 1938 in Luling, TX and passed away on January 12, 2008 in Overton, TX under the care of Heart’s Way Hospice. He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Vega of Melbourne, Florida, daughter and son-in-law Chris and Tim Hackett of Gilmer, son and daughter-in-law Eddie and Lida Vega of Longview, son and daughter-in-law Ruben and Barbara Vega of Gilmer, and daughter and son-in-law Alice and Carmen Arredondo of Longview, brothers Shine Vega, Jessie Vega and Rudy Vega of Kilgore, sisters Pauline Cortez and Mary Vega of Tyler, 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his caregiver, Maricela Gomez. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Santiaga Vega, brothers Larry Vega and Joe Vega, and grandson Miguel A. Vega. Pallbearers will be David Hackett, Jesse Hackett, J.C. Arredondo, Michael Clowers, Dyllon Clowers, Gutemberg Tornes.
