Enrique F. Carrillo's Obituary
Enrique Carrillo, age 100, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 7, 2021 in Longview, Texas. Mr. Carrillo is in the presence of the Lord now where there would be no more pain or suffering.
He was born July 16, 1920, in La Habana, Cuba. He married the love of his life Rafaela Carrillo. They were blessed with 57 wonderful years together and two beautiful daughters, and one son.
In 1980 he immigrated to the United States. He received the same year the Lord Jesus as his savior and devoted the rest of his life to him. He was a very spiritual person, loved to worship, and evangelize to every person he had the opportunity to meet. He loved watching the Ranger’s game and any UFC fight. He was well known by the Hispanic community in Longview. He attended and was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista de Longview, and a christian who lived to show others his love to God. For many years, his prayer was for his family to be united, which it was fulfilled. He was a true friend to everyone and most definitely will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his mother Francisca Hauma and father Gustavo Carrillo, brother Rigoberto Carrillo.
Those left to cherish their memories include his wife Rafaela Carrillo, daughters Miriam Carillo and Mercedes Carrillo, son Lazaro Carrillo, son-in-law Gerardo Reyes, grandsons Yunior Reyes, Yordanis Reyes and Jr. Lazaro Carrillo.
Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 10am-5pm Wednesday in the Chapel. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, Texas on Thursday,January 14th at 10am. Officiating the service will be Pastor Willie Cabrera. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
