Emory S. ?Tim? Timmins, 90, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 1, 2011.
Graveside services will be held at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011.
Emory is preceded in death by his father, Emory S.Timmins, Sr.; mother, Octavia Timmins; brother, Amos Timmins, Sr.; and sister, Mary Jackson.

Emory was born, April 12, 1921 in Elysian Fields. He spent his childhood in Marshall, where he graduated from high school. He attended SMU and then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during WWII, when he met and married his beloved wife, Lorell, May 5, 1945. He practiced dentistry for over 5 decades after completing Baylor Dental School in 1949. He attended Winterfield Methodist Church. Sports and politics were among his many interests and he was an avid walker and talker wherever he went. Emory and his family enjoyed many trips to the mountains of New Mexico and Branson, Missouri, as well.
Emory touched the lives of many people in a profound way and he will be sadly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 66 years, Lorell Timmins; daughters, Rebecca Bair and husband Larry; Lisa Joneson and husband Richard; son, Emory Timmins and wife Carol; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends.
