Emma Marie Martin Bivins
Emma Marie Martin Bivins was born on July 4, 1916 in Denison, Texas and died on May 29, 2006. She moved with her parents William Clifford Martin and Florence O?Dell Martin to Longview in 1928 where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Marie attended Longview schools and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, High Hopes Garden Club, Heritage Bible Study and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was creative and enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening and watching many hummingbirds attracted to her garden. She had a great love for all her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her only child, Blanche Marie Bivins Bruyere and her husband Robert. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Dr. Clint Bruyere, his wife Jayme, their children Bo and Julianna; Craig Bruyere; Cris Bruyere and his wife, Sara, their children Alexis, Cristopher and Blake. Her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and E. C. Johnston, Jr. their daughters Decie Johnston Brookshire and Gayle Johnston Parker, her husband Mark and their children and grandchildren. Sister-in-law, Judy Martin, her son, Judge William Clifford Martin lll, his wife Janet and their children and grandchildren; sister-in-law Evelyn Bivins Cloninger , brother-in-law, Bill Bivins and niece Gay Bivins Rachel and husband, James.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Marshall H. Bivins, her parents, Sister Grace Martin Mitchell and her brother William C. Martin, Jr.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday May 31, 2006 at Memory Park Cemetery at Ten O?clock am with Dr. Rick Webb and Reverend Jerry Turner officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
