Emily Hight Bell's Obituary
Emily Hight Bell joined the Lord on the morning of February 22, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She remained in great spirits until the end.
Born on November 30, 1950, in Longview, Texas, Emily was the beloved daughter of Thomas A. Hight and Evelyn Peguse Hight. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Hight Porter, and her brother, Marcus Hight. She is survived by her younger brother, Joseph Hight; her nephew, William Carter; her niece and namesake, Emily Chavez; and her Goddaughter and namesake, Emily Davis Ziegler.
Emily lived a blessed and fulfilling life, one of her greatest joys being her three successful sons—Stephen, Richard, and Davis. She was also the proud grandmother of eight beautiful and amazing grandchildren: Charlie, Kate, Julia, Charlotte, Samantha, Hank, Will, and Georgia.
Per her wishes, the family will hold a small private gathering in her remembrance. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Emily’s memory by hugging your children, loving your dogs, and reaching out to an old friend.
