Elsie Tyler's Obituary
Elsie Tyler was born on November 9, 1928, in Houston, TX and passed away on August 17, 2023. She graduated from Cypress Fairbanks High School. That is where she met the love of her life, Cilton. They moved from Houston to several places in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico before retiring to Kilgore. She was very active in her church, leading a prayer group on Sunday evenings and was also head of the ladies’ group, WINGS. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Cilton, her oldest son C. H Tyler and her grandson Brian Tyler. She is survived by her son Wade Tyler and wife Debbie of Magnolia, TX; daughter Kelly Crahan of Houston, TX; Grandchildren, Mark Tyler and wife Holly; Jason Tyler; Amanda Carl and husband Jason; Matt Tyler and wife Christy; Paige Reans.
Great grandchildren, Chance Tyler and wife Katie, Abby Tyler, Cadence Tyler, Savannah Tyler, Jade Carl, Averi Carl, and Easton Carl.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 6-8pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, TX. Services will be held on August 22, 2023, at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Danville, Kilgore, TX, with Pastor Freeman Pierce officiating.
