Elsie Maude Lloyd's Obituary
Funeral services for Elsie Maude Honeycutt Lloyd, 92, of Henderson will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 10:30 am at Calvary Baptist Church in Henderson, where she was a member, with Rev. Bill Kuykendall officiating. Beloved wife, mother, friend, sister, and child of God, Mrs. Lloyd died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at a local nursing home. Following services, she will be buried in Crim's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson.
Elsie Lloyd was born April 5, 1916 in the Crims Chapel Community to Jesse Carlton and Maude Estelle Honeycutt. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd reared their family in San Angelo, where they resided for 35 years before returning to their roots in Henderson. She later worked as a teacher's aide in Henderson ISD.
Mrs. Lloyd is survived by her husband of 74 years, George W. Lloyd of Henderson; daughter Margaret Lloyd Kendall of Conroe; son Dr. David A. Lloyd & wife Letty Lew of San Antonio; daughter Helen Lloyd Marberry & husband Richard of Brownsville; six grandchildren: Dr. Peggy Kendall & husband Dr. Jonathan Sheehan of Nashville, TN; Susan Kendall Morrow of Austin; Dave Marberry of Flower Mound; Helaine Marberry of Denver, CO; David Lloyd Jr. & wife Paola of San Antonio; Christian Lloyd of San Antonio. Also four great-grandchildren: Valerie and Genevieve Sheehan, and Christopher and Sofia Lloyd. Also surviving one sister Thelma Honeycutt Gibson of Henderson, and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will meet friends at the Funeral Home from 5-7 pm Tuesday.
