Elizabeth "Vickie" Pardo's Obituary
Elizabeth (Vickie) Pardo, 59, passed away on December 27, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with kidney failure. She passed peacefully at Christus Good Shepherd Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Vickie was born on January 8, 1965, in Lubbock, TX, to Patsy Villines Graves and Victor Graves. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Luther Birdsong, who loved her as his own.
Vickie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by her family. Those who will remember her fondly include her mother, Patsy Villines of Elkhart, Indiana; daughter, Brandy Cohorst of Longview, TX; sons, Christopher Pardo of Farmerville, LA, and Chase Pardo of Elkhart, IN; siblings, Kim (Steve) Goldsmith of White Deer, TX, Lisa (Randy) Cooper of Elkhart, IN, Randy Birdsong of Saginaw, MI, Kelly (Steve) Shaum of Nappanee, IN, Cristy (Max) Wisher of Delphos, OH; grandchildren, Destiny Cohorst, Aubrey Cohorst, Natalie McBride, and Riley Pardo; along with 16 nieces and nephews.
Vickie had a deep love for her Indian heritage and took great joy in decorating her space with Indian art. She spent lots of time crocheting, reading, solving puzzles, and making crafts, including candles and dream catchers. She was known for her fierce love for her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
In keeping with her wishes, Vickie will be cremated. The family is grateful to Rader Funeral Home for assisting with the arrangements. They also wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Christus Good Shepherd Hospital, Tammy, Gracyn, and Britt, who provided special care to not only Vicke but also the family by her side during her final days.
A private family service will be held on her birthday, January 8, 2025, to celebrate her life and the memories she leaves behind.
Vickie will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.
