Eliza Mable Reed's Obituary
Eliza Mable Jimmerson Lemley Reed, daughter of Tom and Mittie Jimmerson of Panola County, Texas, was born on April 3, 1916, and went to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the age of 92 years and 11 months and 22 days. Mable was a homemaker and an Avon Representative for many years. She was a Baptist and associated with Ebenezer Baptist Church and Kilgore Missionary Baptist Church of Kilgore.
Mable, as she was called, grew up in a large family being the youngest of 10 siblings, all of whom have already gone to be with the Lord. She attended school in Beckville and lived most of her life in Panola and Rusk Counties. For many years she worked as a nursery worker for several churches and sat with children and elderly as well.
She is survived by three son; Ralph Lemley of Ft. Worth, Texas, John Lemley and wife Doris of Thornton, Texas, and Roy Lelmey and wife Debbie of Henderson, Texas; two daughters, Judie Ledbetter and husband Billy of Hallsville, Texas and Glenda Derveloy and husband Brett of Henderson, Texas. Mable was preceded in death by a son, Albert Lemley of Whitehouse. Mable has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stacey Stanley, Blake Derveloy, Wayne Stanley, Sammy Rountree, Scott Snow, and Patrick McGinnis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson with Rev. Bill Kuykendall and Rev. Steve Butler officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, March 30, 2009 at the funeral home chapel.
